Brutal hit ends in display of sportsmanship

Football remains a violent game, but Week 4 still produced one of the clearest reminders that mutual respect survives inside the GFL.

During Dublin’s matchup with Seoul, Shamrocks wide receiver Connor Gallagher caught a critical pass on third-and-eight along the sideline and was immediately blasted by White Tigers strong safety Lim Ho Sook, better known as “The Ghost Tiger.”

Gallagher suffered a fractured rib and had to be taken to the medical tent.

The game itself turned into a thriller, with Kim Song Lee leading a 74-yard drive in the final five and a half minutes to give Seoul a 21-19 comeback win.

After the game, despite the heartbreak and the injury, cameras caught Lim Ho Sook specifically seeking Gallagher out to apologize for the hit even though it was completely legal.

Gallagher responded by patting the safety’s helmet in camaraderie and mouthing, “it happens.”
