Devils form captains council ahead of the 2181 campaign

The LA Devils have established a new captains council to create a tighter decision loop between the locker room, coordinators, and football operations. The council will include veterans from each phase of the roster and rotate younger contributors through select meetings as the season progresses.

According to club leadership, the council is designed to shorten feedback cycles around recovery load, travel readiness, and weekly installation. The result should be a roster that feels sharper and more accountable on short turnarounds.

It is also a signal that the club wants leadership to be built into the week, not reserved for gameday speeches.
