The Devils outschemed and overwhelmed the Oslo Vikings on the road, jumping out to a fast lead and dominating with a versatile offensive attack.

LA Pillages the Vikings!

The Devils marched into The Longhouse and immediately silenced the crowd by driving the length of the field on the opening kickoff, forcing an interception, and quickly jumping out to a 14-0 lead. Marcus Boone was stellar under center, passing for 275 yards, three touchdowns, and just one interception.

The defining element of the Devils’ game plan was the brilliant utilization of Rodrigo Martinez as an H-back and slot receiver. Martinez was completely unguardable, racking up 85 yards rushing and 85 yards receiving, while scoring a touchdown both on the ground and through the air. Anthony DeLuca also feasted on the Oslo defense, catching 12 passes for 105 yards and a score as LA cruised to a 34-21 victory.

The Cairo Scarabs utterly clobbered the Chicago Wolves 38-0, highlighted by WR “Hot Sauce” Williams exploding for 12 catches, 210 yards, and two touchdowns.

In Tokyo, Daichi Yokashi led a spectacular last-minute game-winning drive to defeat the London Lions 35-31 after edge rusher Nitta forced a crucial fumble. Meanwhile, Seoul’s Lim Ho Sook intercepted Buenos Aires rookie Ignacio Lorenzo twice to help the White Tigers secure a 27-23 victory.
